Eligibility Criteria

Before you apply, make sure you meet all eligibility requirements:

 

Citizenship

Must be an Indian Citizen, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or Person of Indian Origin (PIO)

 

Qualifying Exam

Passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects

 

Additional Subject

One of: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics

 

Minimum Marks

45% aggregate in PCM (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka)

⚠️ Important: Diploma Holders NOT Eligible

COMEDK does not offer lateral entry for diploma holders. Only students who have completed 10+2/PUC with the required subjects can apply for engineering through COMEDK.

Example: Ramesh completed a diploma in mechanical engineering and wanted to join 2nd year B.E. through COMEDK. Unfortunately, he discovered that COMEDK does not have a lateral entry provision. He had to explore other options like direct college admissions or different state entrance exams.
